Guilt

So I was planning on going to the Temple today with the Sisters in the ward. No one was able to come and the snow had finally come. I got up and ready. All morning I was worried about the weather because I have a really hard time in the snow. I was determined to go though so I brushed it off and finished getting ready. As soon as I got Ashlee off to school I headed out. Once I left the neighborhood I felt fine. All the roads were clear and the worry went away. Once I got to SR-73 I started worrying again. The cars were backed up all the way to the Ranches. Several of them were turning around. I wasn't sure if it was because they didn't want to wait or because the weather was bad up ahead. I kept remembering the storm last year. You all know the one. It was bright and sunny in Eagle Mountain but in Saratoga it was a blizzard and half the neighborhood was stuck there. I wasn't sure if my human side was taking over and I was getting scared or if someone smarter then me was telling me to turn around. Well to get the point I turned around. Do I feel guilty? Absolutely. Why do we do this to ourselves? I know I need to get over it, but let's face it, I'm Emily and I am sure I will stew over this all day, all week or probably until I get to the Temple. Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I guess I better go shovel the walks.

Well, I heard people were backed up on I-15 this morning and it was backed up through Lehi too so I think you did the right thing because I would hate for you to get stuck! Haleigh didn't get to go on her field trip and I'm thinking that if her school was just later in the day she would have been fine.

It could have been the spirit...i have had the spirit tell me to turn around before...who knows what could have happened? It took Flavio 2 hours to get to work today. Don't be so hard on yourself, maybe you should be thanking Heavenly Father for the warning. You are doing enough with trying to go to the temple each week. Think positive. :)

It took Corey 3 hours to get to work. He called me 2 hours after he left home and he still wasn't to Smith's yet. Crazy!

Thanks for all your comments. I do feel better about it and I know I did the right thing. I just hate missing an opportunity to go to the Temple.
